My name is Carolyn Mundt from InspirexArt.
I am a qualified Expressive Art Therapist.
I do what I do because – Becoming an Art Therapist was a choice driven by a desire to help others, a belief in the therapeutic value of art therapy, and a recognition of the profound impact that creative expression can have on an individuals well-being.
What does expressive art therapy do?
When we encounter challenges, there are instances when we may feel disoriented, perplexed, saddened, grieving, anxious, or overwhelmed. In such times, a bit of assistance can be invaluable in navigating a pathway through these difficulties.
This is where art therapy or expressive art comes into play. It serves to convey our feelings, emotions, experiences, and personal narratives in a non-verbal language.
My role is to facilitate and guide individuals through the artistic expression of their emotions, in a supportive and safe space. Art Therapy or expressive art is not about skill or judgment, it is about the process and the story attached to the art process.
